The Sufis are a psychedelic rock band from Nashville, TN. They consist of Calvin Laporte (organ, bass, vocals), Jay Smith (guitar, vocals) & Evan Smith (drums, vocals). Their recording features instruments such as harpsichord, tanpura, oscillators and tape loops. They are influenced by The Shaggs, The Pink Floyd, The Kinks and The Beatles. Their debut release comes out May 14th 2012 on Ample Play Records/Burger Records.
